First, the car charging system does not charge
Under normal circumstances, if our car charging system does not charge the symptoms of motor vehicles are mainly in the middle speed of the engine, the ammeter still indicates that the discharge or charge indicator does not go out. There are several reasons for such a situation:
1 generator silicon two tube breakdown, short circuit or open circuit;
2 generator armature and magnetic field of the insulation breakdown or bad contact, resulting in open circuit, short circuit, etc.;
3 rectifier insulation breakdown;
4 point card lag or excessive wear, spring elasticity is insufficient or broken;
5 rotor and stator coil short circuit, open circuit;
6 voltage regulator failure;
7 charging circuit is open;
8 the generator drive belt is loose or oil slip.
If this happens, in general, we can check the following methods:
1 check generator to battery connection is intact;
2 check the generator fan belt is too loose or slip;
3 check the current meter and the charging indicator is damaged;
4 disconnect the connection between the generator terminal and the voltage regulator magnetic field terminal. Connect the motor armature terminal and the voltage regulator terminal with a wire to make the engine speed slightly higher than the idle speed, while observing the current meter pointer. If the short circuit is connected, the voltage regulator is faulty. If you do not charge after the short, can be used to check the light bulb.
5 remove the generator armature terminal wire, start the generator and touch the end of the test lamp with the housing. If the test light is not bright, the generator is faulty. If the light is on, the circuit is open.
Two, the charging current is too small
The reason is mainly the current generator drive belt is too loose; the charging line loose, bad; bad brush, wear or oil show rectifier; rotor coil and stator coil local short circuit and open circuit voltage regulator; bad work.
The reason may be: 1 if the battery is defective, and the ammeter or indicator indicates no charge, indicating that the charging system is a problem;
2 so that the engine in the middle and high speed operation, turn on the headlights, at this time to observe the ammeter indication, if the direction of the "+" or the pointer does not move, indicating that the normal charge. If the instantaneous bias - - direction, indicating that the charging system failure;
3 determine the battery not sufficient and generator normal elastic belt, two wires available test lamp respectively with the armature and field wiring terminal contact, start the engine and improve the speed, and observed brightness changes. Brightness is increased with the speed increase, if there is no change, it shows that the generator internal fault; if the brightness increases with the increase in speed, indicating that the engine is not fault, and the fault in the voltage regulator.
Three, charging current is too large
When the engine is running at medium speed, the current indicates a high current charge (30A or more), the phenomenon of overheating and burning.
There are 1 reasons for the failure of the voltage regulator; the generator of the "+" (armature) and the magnetic field of the connecting rod short circuit; 3 battery power loss too much, the battery internal short-circuit.
Four, charging current instability
The performance of the generator does not work properly, the current on the car indicates that the charge, but the pointer is always about to swing, suddenly small.
The possible reasons are: 1 generator drive belt is too loose to slip; 2 lines connected to the charging system bad; bad contact inside line 3 generator; rectifier 4 dirty, bad brush and brush spring is too weak or damaged; the 5 voltage regulator working poor.
